Every now and again the good people of London call on the northern powerhouse to make use of their skills and services, (and possibly fees). This was one of those times, with a real gem of a domestic project in the middle of Clapham. The Client wanted minor internal modifications doing to their house, whilst retaining a lot of the original Georgian features. The rear dining area was to be extended into a new glazed lean-to. The damaged porch roof was to be removed and replaced with a new shaped gable roof, proving to offer better performance for rainwater dispersal.
The upstairs refurbishment gave the client a new Walk-in Wardrobe and En-Suite Shower Room. A new Laundry Room was created in upstairs space that was originally wasted as an over-sized Bathroom.
Downstairs, the Kitchen and Formal Dining Room were opened up to make a lovely open-plan space.
Outside the building, the Driveway was widened into the previously abandoned garden, and with the installation of new drop-kerbs off-street parking was provided, which in London is extremely sought-after.
All approvals were gained at the first attempt and the Client now happily resides at the address.
